The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida’s health assessment and research philosophy is grounded in behavior health theory and based on conducting assessments with communities and not on or to communities. Rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach to assessments, we use models that are flexible, culturally sensitive and community-driven, such as Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), Community-Based Participatory Marketing (CBPM), World Café, Health Impact Assessments (HIA), Social Marketing, Empowerment Evaluation, Strategic Framework Prevention (SPF) and Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP).
